Behind the creativity and design inspiration there are inevitably a number of details to be aware of to ensure that you receive an excellent service and buying experience.

These terms and conditions cover any product or design purchased from Paul Islip.

UK Delivery

Most prices on this website include postage and packing to UK mainland addresses (excluding highlands and islands). Larger items may require different delivery methods. This will be agreed point of order.

International Delivery

Please contact me to discuss your requirements. Please keep min mind that you will be responsible for the additional costs on top of the shipping such as import charges, customer clearance and duty.

Order Fulfilment

All orders are accepted in good faith, however on occasions, there may be reasons beyond our control that mean it cannot be fulfilled. For example, unavailability of raw materials or adverse weather conditions. If this occurs then we will contact you by email or telephone to agree how to proceed and make any refund due.

If an order is delayed for any reason then we will contact you to explain the reason and agree if you would like to proceed with the order or cancel.

Price and Payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and payment is required at the point of order. Payment can be made by bank transfer or with most major credit and debit cards through our payment partner “Stripe”.

On the very rare occasion that a pricing error is identified then we will contact you to explain and understand if you would like to cancel or proceed at the correct price.

Orders and Returns

All items ordered are individually unique and made to order. They are not therefore refundable unless the item is faulty or misdescribed. In this case, please contact me to discuss your concerns and we will arrange a free return and/or refund if required. 

Following the placement of an order, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

Order Cancellations

You can cancel an order by email, telephone or post within 14 days from the date it was placed and receive a full refund. You will receive an order cancelation confirmation by email.

Commissions/Bespoke Orders

These are personalised orders, designed and made to you specifications. We have to rely that any information you provide is accurate so please take care and check the details sent. Particular care should be taken when providing dimensions, reference numbers or names for fabrics, colours and other materials.

When we have agreed your bespoke design, I will send you an email confirming the specification and price. Once we receive your email or written acceptance, this becomes our final order contract which supercedes any prior discussions or correspondence regarding the order. This is to ensure that we both have a clear understanding of the order placed before it is produced. 

Once production of a bespoke order has commenced it cannot be cancelled and full payment is due. I will of course try to accommodate any small amendments that you request if at all possible.

Materials

Our core materials of timber, leaves and slate are carefully selected for their individual, natural characteristics. Every item produced is therefore unique and no two items will ever be identical. 

Please be aware that natural materials, such as raw wood, will gradually change colour over time. Our care guides will advise you how best to look after your homeware and environments to avoid.

Craft

All products are handcrafted, and in many cases, employ traditional craft techniques such as green wood working and steam bending of timber. Each piece is therefore unique and there will be variations from piece to piece. 

Photography

Due to natural materials and handmade creation of every product, all product photographs and videos, used across all media types including the website, are for illustrative purposes only. Every effort is made to ensure that the photography is representative of the products being sold. However the actual size, weight, colour, materials and dimensions will vary from the photography images shown. This variation is an inherent characteristic of the product range making every piece unique.

Terms and Conditions updates

These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time in line with changes in UK law or our business requirements and practices.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights associated with Paul Islip designs, products and media remain the property of Paul Islip.
